Ethics as a theory of the state of democracy

Ethics is based on the consideration that the values of liberal democracy should be reconsidered in view of globalization and not under the pretext or defended by an attempt to recreate the past, the strong commitment of States recently. People might argue, however, for the protection and conservation of state institutions based as possible until the creation of new institutions.

Globalization opens the way for wider application of the values of equality, democracy, prosperityand community. Most of the values of the Enlightenment were required for all persons. The French Declaration of the Assembly was human rights. The American Declaration of Independence instead of "these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal. Despite the universality of these requests were the institutions established by the state exclusively for the provision of rights to their citizens. A philosophy globalized policy may allow these values to apply throughout the world.Concepts of sovereignty and no intervention, provided the framework for the development of liberal democratic values. They also provided for the protection of these values to young non-interference by the more authoritarian regimes that did not like democracy. But the walls of sovereignty has also acted as a barrier to the spread of these values for the countries whose nationals were often great need for them.

The fact that it is impossible to identify the values, or practically impossible, does not eliminate their value (at least in my reading of that money). However, if these values can not be reached, would have significant consequences for our actions in the values we get the next and the balance will be made between these values and their competitors must be used for the experiment.

Think that the solution to the challenges of globalization on current Member of force is the creation of a new, bigger, lacks universal "strong state", the most importantThe point about the decline of sovereignty. Such a view is blocked in the event which was available at the time of strong countries. What is likely to emerge is a world in which the former institutions across international borders and are not claimed, other sovereign states to cover all areas of life.

The values of the Enlightenment as a challenge, modified and developed through 250 years of law, political philosophy and social provide an excellent starting point, not least because of the fundamentalEnlightenment shift in the relationship between government and citizens. Rather than subject to the duties of the sovereign, he stressed that government agencies based on how they should serve the citizens are justified. The North Atlantic Enlightenment does not hold a monopoly on truth, but it was a major step forward in improving the fight for universal human condition.

What we need now is an international search for new and revised values for which allcan contribute and where everyone can learn from ideas and failures of others. How are accompanied in many other areas, the claim of universality by devotion to her.
